1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use EpicStamp:
- Email address
- Website URLs submitted for analysis
- Scan results and carbon footprint data
- Payment information (processed by our payment gateway; we do not store card details)
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Perform website carbon footprint analysis
- Create and manage your user account
- Issue and manage certifications
- Send scan results and account-related communications
- Improve our services
2a. Marketing Consent
When you submit your website for a free scan, we ask for your explicit consent (via a mandatory checkbox) to send you the scan results and related communications about your website's eco-certification, including occasional updates, tips for reducing your carbon footprint, and notifications about new features or special offers. Your consent is stored together with the timestamp and IP address from which it was given.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the one-click "unsubscribe" link included in every email we send you, or by contacting us at info@epicstamp.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
2b. Automated Sustainability Research & Outreach
As part of our research into website sustainability, we may run automated environmental analyses on publicly accessible websites that we discover through public sources (such as company directories, public registries, and the open web). When we do this, we may contact the operator of the website ONCE with a courtesy email containing the eco-score result, on the legal basis of legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
This courtesy outreach is subject to the following safeguards:
- You will receive at most ONE such email. We will not send any follow-up unless you opt in.
- The email clearly discloses why you are receiving it and how to permanently unsubscribe.
- We do not contact addresses in jurisdictions with strict B2B anti-spam laws (currently .de, .at, .ca top-level domains) or addresses on our internal "do not contact" list.
- To view the full report, you must explicitly confirm your email and opt in to our communications via a clear consent dialog. No information is shared until you do.
- Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that permanently removes your address from all future communications.
You have the right to object to this processing at any time, in which case we will stop and add your address or domain to our suppression list. To object, contact info@epicstamp.com.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely. You may request deletion at any time.
